Sufi music or qawali was started during the times of Khawaja Moin Uddin Chisti and Hazrat Ameer Khusrao. In the Subcontinent the art of Qawali is thousands of years old, which has been passed down from one generation to the other. In Pakistan Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan truly glorified the art and introduced new techniques of the art to the world. After his young death, his disciple RFAK has held the mantle for glorifying the art and keeping his family tradition alive. Being born and brought up in a musically oriented family, qawali runs in his blood. From a young age RFAK used to perform with his uncle Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in various Qawali gatherings.

The event started off with a lavish refreshment arrangement and meet and greet, followed by brief speeches by the management. And soon after that Imran Aziz Mian took the stage and performed the hits of his father, Amjad Sabri and Nusrat Fateh Ali. Imran is not only a great qawal but also a great philosopher and poet, just like his father Aziz Mian Qawwal whose mystical qawalis transfixed millions across South Asia. 041b061a72
